WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis (WSAU) A judge ordered the Wisconsin Rapids School District to release more records surrounding its 2011 investigation into its wrestling program. Four team members were charged with harassing a disabled team member in the locker room. All were found guilty of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
The Voice newspaper filed an open records request after the school district released only one page of findings from its own internal investigation. Yesterday's court ruling orders the school district to make an additional 27 pages of documents public, including letters and emails from parents about the investigation.
Those papers will be made public in the next 20 days, unless the school district files an appeal.
