WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Marshfield man will go on trial late this fall for charges of abusing his infant child.
22-year-old Sebastian Suchomel allegedly caused injuries to an 11-week-old child including multiple fractures to his left arm, ribs, and leg. Doctors told investigators the injuries could be from yanking or pulling hard on his limbs and by rough handling or squeezing of the baby’s chest.
In the criminal complaint, Suchomel admits flipping the baby hearing a popping sound. That’s when the child's arm went limp.
Judge Nicholas Brazeau decided Wednesday the case will go to trial November 6th in Wood County Circuit Court. The trial is expected to last two days.
Suchomel remains in custody, unable to post a $10,000 cash bond.
