Austin Mahone is a San Antonio native, so it's no wonder he's been tapped to sing at Game 1 of the NBA finals, which features the San Antonio Spurs facing off against the Miami Heat.

Billboard reports that Austin will sing the national anthem at the event Thursday night; you'll be able to see it live on ABC starting at 9 p.m. ET.  Austin will return to his hometown to kick off his North American headlining tour on July 25.  Asked what fans can expect from that outing, Austin tells ABC News Radio, "More songs, more dancers, bigger stages, lights, like, smoke...everything's gonna be better!"

Meanwhile, Austin's long-awaited debut EP, The Secret , has just debuted at #5 on the Billboard album chart.  The 18-year-old singer tells ABC News Radio that the project shows his maturity as an artist since he first broke out as a YouTube discovery.  "I've definitely grown," he says. "I started working on this EP about two years ago and I just keep growing.  Every year I get better!"
