(WNFL)- Madison golfer Steve Stricker says he'll play in back-to-back PGA tournaments leading up to next month's British Open. Stricker and Bo Van Pelt teamed up to win a two-day charity tournament which ended yesterday in Barrington Rhode Island. There, Stricker told reporters he would play in both the Greenbrier Classic July 3rd-6th, and the John Deere Classic at the Quad Cities the following weekend. Stricker is a three-time champion at the John Deere, which is held the week before the British Open. Last year -- the first year of his limited schedule -- Stricker passed on the season's third major. He later admitted it was probably a mistake. Stricker has still not decided whether he'll cross the pond for this year's Open.
