TOMAHAWK, Wis. (WSAU) -- A 45-year-old Waukesha man is hospitalized after a Saturday afternoon snowmobile crash near Tomahawk.
Lincoln County deputies have not released the man’s name, but say he is in fair condition at the St. Joseph’s Hospital trauma center in Marshfield.
The crash happened in the Town of King near Old County Rd D at 1:00 PM. The sheriff’s deputy says the driver was traveling on the south edge of County Rd D when he reached the intersection, and accelerated to quickly to get over a snowbank causing his sled to launch into the air.
The snowmobile driver was cited for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated.
