Producer, jewelry designer, singer, songwriter, clothing designer...and now, perfumer. Pharrell Williams is teaming with the Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons to launch his first-ever fragrance. It's called G I R L, just like his new album, but despite the name, it'll be unisex.
This marks the first time Comme des Garçons has created a fragrance for a musician. A top executive says in a statement, "I can think of no greater talent and no greater gentleman to have done this with. Pharrell knew exactly what he wanted the perfume to smell like right from the beginning. It has been an honor to work with such a creative artist with a great vision, which for Comme des Garçons is the most important thing."
Pharrell, meanwhile, praised the label as "the best of the best," and added, "I am so honored to be working with [them] and cherish the education that I've experienced in this collaboration."
More details about the fragrance will come soon.
