UPDATE: Wisconsin Badgers pound American 75-35 in NCAA tourney, Ducks next

UPDATE:  The Wisconsin Badgers will play Oregon in primetime on CBS television and the Badger Radio Network Saturday.  Tip off is set for 25 minutes after Michigan/Texas game, which tips at 4:15 p.m.  Estimated game time is close to 7:00 p.m.

MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - Wisconsin has advanced to the third round of the NCAA tournament.

The No. 2 seed Badgers were just too much for 15th-seeded American University. Wisconsin pulled one of its most decisive victories with a 75-35 clobbering of the Eagles.

The win was witnessed by a very loud, and very red crowd in Milwaukee.

Traevon Jackson scored 18 points, Ben Brust scored 17 and Sam Dekker added 11 as Wisconsin devastated American with a 22-5 run to close the first half.

The Eagles scored just 13 points in the second half, the fewest in a half for a Badgers opponent in the modern era.

Wisconsin will face Oregon on Saturday.
