Warrant “Cherry Pie” is so obviously about sex, but Warrant got away with it because there is no way to prove they weren't actually singing about pie. Gotta love double entendres.
The song wasn't even supposed to be on the album. The album was set to be called
Uncle Tom's Cabin
or
Quality You Can Taste,
but after frontman Jani Lane wrote the song, in about 20 minutes, on a pizza box, now on display at the Hard Rock Cafe in Destin, Florida, the whole marketing campaign changed and the label pushed for the album to be called
Cherry Pie.

The song, though not one of their best according to Lane, was a huge hit for Warrant reaching #10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, it also reached #19 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. In 2009, it was named the 56th best hard rock song of all time by VH1.
Quality song or not it sure is fun to listen to and sing along with.
