Billie Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins takes real issue with the song “Shine,” claiming that Collective Soul stole their sound. He often trashed Collective Soul in interviews and from the stage as recently as 2010. They even played part of the song before stopping and announcing it a rip off of his band.
