MADISON, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) – Wisconsin could soon be back on the gridiron. The Big Ten has approved a plan to begin the football season as early as October 17th.
The conference held a vote this week among its presidents and chancellors to approve the change after the council voted 11-3 to postpone all fall sports due to concerns over the coronavirus.
Each team is set to play eight-games in nine weeks, with the conference title game set for December 19th. That would make them eligible for the College Football Playoff.
