ANTIGO, WI (WSAU) — A White Lake man accused of having a one-pot meth lab in his home was denied a request for bond modification this week as his case moves through the Langlade County court system.
George Hawley told a judge he could post about 10% of the $100,000 cash bond that was set for him back in April. But his request to have the amount reduced was denied.
The 39-year-old will instead remain jailed as he awaits trial for 11 counts including seven felonies tied to the discovery of a meth-cooking operation in a Wolf River residence.
Officials found more than 60 meth production containers along with medications, chemicals, fuel, and needles all associated with the cooking of the drug.

Among the charges he faces are first-degree recklessly endangering safety, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felony.
He also faces misdemeanor counts for child neglect and obstructing an officer.
Many of the charges carry repeat modifiers as well.
Hawley will return for an adjourned initial appearance on May 24th.
