MADISON, WI (WSAU) — A former Central Wisconsin teacher has entered a plea to federal charges.
Thursday afternoon 39-year-old Travis Griel pleaded guilty to a charge of producing child pornography. Griel produced upskirting videos using an iPad that captured videos and photos of what was under students clothing.
The investigation into Griel’s misconduct began in February of 2020, when a student came forward saying she felt uncomfortable with him and believed Greil had filmed up her skirt while she was standing near Greil’s desk.

Greil will face a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 20 in federal prison. A plea deal reached for the guilty plea on Thursday agreed that Griel will get at least 6 years in prison. He will be sentenced by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley on August 12th and 13th.
