PLOVER, WI (WSAU) — The spell checkers for the Village of Plover’s water tower took off early for the holiday weekend.
Facebook and other social media sites were a buzz on Friday after crews working to paint the water tower in the village misspelled “PLOVER”- switching the “V” and “O” to instead spell “PLVOER.”
The image of the gaff has been shared numerous times on Facebook, even landing on the popular Wisconsin culture and lifestyle page “Drink Wisconsinbly.”
According to WAOW TV the error was expected to be corrected sometime on Friday.
