MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) — A Marshfield woman is said to have stabbed a man in self-defense as he was attacking her during a domestic argument.
Police say they were called to the intersection of Blodgett Street and St. Joseph Avenue for a man with a stab wound to the face. He was transported to the hospital while officers followed up with another woman at the scene.
According to her, the man had attacked her during an argument and she used the knife to protect herself.
After he was medically cleared the man was transported to the Wood County jail. Officers are recommending charges of domestic abuse, strangulation, and bail jumping.
Names of those involved were not released.
