TOWN OF LANARK, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — The Humane Society of Portage County is looking for the owner of a horse found wandering through the town of Lanark.
A woman eventually found the animal in her pasture and called the Humane Society. She has agreed to foster the horse for the time being.
“It pretty much just let itself into her pasture. She called us and was like there’s a horse in my pasture. But she said she’s going to be okay keeping it for a while, while we figure out who the owner is if we can,” said Brittney Lord, Humane Officer for the Humane Society of Portage County.
