MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — A solo home run from Luis Urias didn’t hold up for the Brewers as Pittsburgh put up four runs in the 7th for a 4-3 win on Saturday.
Willy Adames went 3-5 with three singles and Keston Hiura added two hits and brought home a run in the 6th on a base hit to left, though wasn’t credited with an RBI. Pirates OF Ben Gamel committed a fielding error that allowed Urias to score, while also allowing Hiura to take second.
Andrew McCutchen added an RBI single that scored Christian Yelich in the 5th.
Brandon Woodruff went six innings and allowed four hits. He was charged with three runs and got a no-decision in the start. Brad Boxberger took the loss to fall to 3-2 while also being charged with a blown save.
The same two teams will close out their three-game set this afternoon at American Family Field. Coverage on WSAU begins at 12:35.
