AMHERST, WI (WSAU) – Charges have been filed in the fatal shooting of an elderly man during Thanksgiving weekend. The suspect, Miles Bradley, 78, is being held on $1-million bond.
During a court hearing Monday Bradley was charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the death of Clarance Banks.
Sheriffs deputies were called to a home on Yellow Brick Road on November 27th. The suspect lived there, as did the victim. There apparently was an argument between Bradley and another person who also lived in the home. Bradley is accused of leaving the house, returning with a gun, and shooting Banks, 92. Banks had come up from a bedroom in the basement when he was shot.
A probable cause hearing is scheduled for December 22. A judge will determine if there’s enough evidence for the case to proceed to trial.
