STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Employees at Sentry’s Stevens Point headquarters will be able to return to work by the middle of next week after investigators completed a full security sweep of the building this week.
The sweep was prompted by a threatening statement that was found in a bathroom stall nearly two weeks ago, which prompted many employees to work from home this week. A number of workers were on site this week with extra security on hand.
Workers will return to the established hybrid schedule with additional security. Further details on that will be provided in due course.
Officials believe they have identified the employee who made the unspecified threat. They will not be allowed back into the building.
The investigation into the incident is still active. No further details, including the nature of the threat, have been released.
