Week 3 and I am down 9.5 pounds since starting the Eleve MedSpa Vitality Program and I am still feeling great! Still sleeping great, my energy is still rockin all day long, and Iโm down a pants size so thatโs awesome!
My husband has made all the diet and exercise changes that I have because he too needed to get healthier. For years heโs had high cholesterol, not to the point he needs to be on medication, but high enough to want to reverse it. He has had high triglycerides (like in the 300s!) and his glucose was high. All the categories my blood tests showed I was high in his did too, but his were way higher than mine. He had a blood draw last week and the results were amazing they were all in the normal range! That is what clean eating, and a little bit of exercise can do for your overall health!
People have said to me, โI wouldnโt be able to do that because I couldnโt give up carbs or sugar.โ My husband was a candy addict! He would always have candy on him no matter where he went. He also drank Mountain Dew every day. If he can turn his back on these things I truly believe you can too. And the best part is, he is feeling so much better, heโs seen the evidence that it is beneficial to his health, so he is not struggling with this new lifestyle.
We have found some really yummy meals, like the one in the picture. Itโs lean ground beef and garlic coated in sugar free soy glaze with cucumbers and carrots marinated in lime juice and salt over romaine lettuce. It was so delicious. Normally we wouldโve eaten it wrapped in a tortilla, but we werenโt missing out having it as a salad.
Struggles this week. OH MY GOSH! My schedule has been insane! I thought it was hard to find time to go to the gym before, well, this week there were days we could call it impossible. My wonderful husband is out of town for workโฆthank God my parents are around to help pick up the kids from school. And my lovely friend Carrie helps a lot by giving my kids a ride home from dance. Her daughter is the same age as the twins, and they love the few extra minutes they get to spend together after class.
Monday: After school the twins had archery until 5 then needed to be fed quickly and had gymnastics at 5:30 until 7:30. Mia had softball until 4:30 then dance until 6:30. Remember No working out within 2 hours of bedtime, still need to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep, and canโt eat within 2 hours of bedtime.
Tuesday: After school the twins had dance 4: 30 to 6:30. Mia had softball until 4:30. We got to cook dinner at home!
Wednesday: After school Mia had softball until 4 then dance 4:30 to 6:00 then WRYSA league softball practice 6:15 to 7:45. I threw some chicken nuggets in the air fryer and handed her some on a paper plate between dance and WRYSA softball. The twins luckily only had WRYSA softball practice 6:15 to 7:45pm.
Tonight: After school the twins have dance 4:30 to 6pm and Mia has softball until 4:30. Iโll get to cook dinner at home and get to the gym hopefully by 6:30 so I can get a workout in before my two-hour window closes.
With two softball seasons going on (school ball games start next week), dance (recital is June 7th and 8th), gymnastics (Nationals are the end of June) and soon play practice (auditions for summer youth shows are coming up May 5th and 6th at the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre) things are going to get even crazier.
Iโm still trying to do my best and Katrina at Eleve MedSpa is so supportive. I appreciate so much that she never makes me feel bad for not being perfect.
