Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting with Kirsten, Clinical Nutritionist, at Eleve. We talked about increasing my fiber intake and also a low histamine diet.
She recommended that I track my meals to help determine where I’m at with my fiber intake then make changes to try to get around 25g a day. She recommended using an app to do this. You simply take photos of your meals and ai calculates it. Here’s an example of my results from my lunch:

I was interested in learning more about the low histamine diet because of my issues with chronic hives. My histamine levels are so high that when I don’t take enough antihistamine, I get hives. I hope that by changing my diet I can reduce the amount of antihistamine I have to take on a daily basis. Kirsten gave me a list of foods that I can avoid that cause common histamine reactions. Foods such as avocado, spinach, tomatoes and more. These three foods are foods that I tend to eat a lot of.
