I drove over to Minneapolis Friday..had some stuff to do at my favorite camera store over there..but it also was an opportunity to hear how the Twin Cities are dealing with the loss of Prince. I listened to several radio stations..even ones that don't play Prince. All in all..they all sounded like they had lost a neighbor. I heard the press conference that discussed the investigation into Prince's death..and the Sheriff said “to a lot of people Prince was a superstar..a musical icon. But to us..he was our friend and our neighbor.” I really felt that by hearing it on the radio there. Paisley Park was loaded with purple balloons..people were wearing purple who stopped by..the I-35 bridge and Target Field all went purple over the weekend. Now I wonder what Minneapolis will do to honor Prince. Will they build a statue? Name a building after Prince? Have an official Prince day? We'll see..and keep his music in our hearts…
