STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — A SWAT Team incident at a Stevens Point apartment has led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man on suspicion of possessing child pornography.
Officers executed a warrant at 2625 4th Avenue #10 this morning, where they found three people inside including Alexander Kucharski, who was taken into custody for one count of child porn.
Officers say the arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Stevens Point Police Department through collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Justice. It began after a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force
The other two people inside the unit were not a part of the investigation and were not arrested.
In addition to the Point/Plover SWAT team the Plover Police Department, Portage County Sheriff’s Office, and Wisconsin DOJ Division of Criminal Investigation also responded.
No further details about the incident have been released.
