TOMAHAWK, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – More events surrounding September’s Tomahawk Fall Ride are canceled. A Facebook post from Tomahawk Main Street says the events downtown are now being called off
“The Main Street organization took over this event this year and have been fighting to make it happen. But after much public discussion it is just not possible. Other area events are still planning to have events,” the post said.
Another post from Tomahawk Main Street Inc. said “after careful consideration, the Tomahawk Main Street (TMS) board of directors has decided to cancel our portion of events for the Downtown Tomahawk Fall Ride this year.” TMS says that many businesses are moving forward with their own events, and that they will continue to offer their support to those businesses.
The Fall Ride’s main sponsor, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, announced in June that they were canceling their events at Sara Park.
The Tomahawk Fall Ride is one of Wisconsin’s largest motorcycle events, attracting more than 10,000 riders.
