CINCINNATI, Ohio (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Cincinnati Reds smashed three home runs in a 10-5 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Monday night at Great American Ball Park.
Colin Moran, Brandon Drury, and Kyle Farmer all went deep for the Reds, who scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take the lead for good. Luis Castillo was rocky in his 2022 debut, giving up three runs in four-and-two-thirds innings. Luis Cessa picked up the win in relief. The Reds improve to 6-and-23, but they did get some bad news when infielder Mike Moustakas was placed on the COVID list before the game.
Brandon Woodruff gave up six runs (5 earned) on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings. Rowdy Tellez had two RBIs and Omar Narvaez hit his 2nd homer for Milwaukee. Tyrone Taylor and Jace Peterson had the other RBIs.
The Brewers have dropped three straight. The two teams play again tonight…pre game show at 5:05 on WSAU.
