ROSEMONT, IL (WSAU) — The University of Wisconsin is sitting out the 2022 Gavitt Tip-Off Games, while Marquette has drawn Purdue in the traditional Big Ten-Big East event.
Both leagues announced the schedule on Friday, which will feature eight games spread over four days. Action begins November 14th with Butler taking on Penn State and DePaul visiting Minnesota.
The Golden Eagles and Boilers will play on November 15th in West Lafayette. Both teams qualified for the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Tournament.
Other matchups include Indiana at Xaiver and Michigan State hosting Villanova.
The series honors the late Dave Gavitt, who founded the Big East Conference.
