WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A well-known comedian is taking his latest tour to Central Wisconsin next spring.
Lewis Black, known as the king of the rant, will perform his stand-up routine at the Grand Theater on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at 7:30 PM. Black is best known for his ranting style of comedy, poking fun at life’s ridiculous moments and hypocrisies.
In addition to his stand-up Black is also known for his contributions to Comedy Central’s Daily Show, where he offers commentaries on the news of the day in a segment called “Back in Black” and to the popular Comedy Central Celebrity Roasts.
He also had a guest appearance during season 3 of The Big Bang Theory, where he played a professor of entomology (insect studies) at Cal Tech. He was also the voice of anger in the Pixar film “Inside Out.”
Black has won numerous awards for his comedic work including a GRAMMY for best comedy album. He’s also taken numerous USO tours to entertain US troops during deployments to the Middle East.
Tickets for Black’s show at the Grand will go on sale at 10 AM this Friday.
