MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) A woman who accused former Marshfield police chief Rick Gramza of coercing her into a sexual relationship has died.
Charges against Gramza were dropped. He has since resigned as chief.
She died on December 1st. Details about her death haven’t been made public, although it is not considered suspicious. Because of the nature of her allegations, her name hasn’t been made public.
The woman filed a federal lawsuit against the city.`Her estate now has 90 days to decide if they want the lawsuit to proceed. If they do not file a motion with the court, the case will be dropped.
Gramza had claimed the relationship was consensual. The woman said she wanted the relationship to end, but was pressured into continuing it.
