WAUKESHA, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – What happens at Arrowhead High School in Waukesha County may impact school districts across the state.
The school board is contemplating a ban on “divisive” displays such as pride flags, safe space stickers, and other political posters.
The board held a meeting on the subject Tuesday morning, and members of the community attended to express their concerns.
“I think social justice issues should be at home between parents and children,” said Danica Clarkson. “What I teach my children might not be what others teach their children.”
The board did not vote on the motion Tuesday, according to a Milwaukee news station, but members are anticipated to vote at their meeting on July 12.
