WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot has been won by someone in California, making it the third-largest prize ever given out in the game’s history. Though four winning Powerball tickets for the Wednesday, July 20 drawing were sold in Wisconsin.
A winning Powerball ticket worth $1,000,000 was purchased in Grand Chute at Kwik Trip on 3721 West College Avenue. At Kwik Trip on 15870 US Hwy 63 in Hayward, a $100,000 winning Powerball ticket was purchased. The $50,000 win became a $100,000 win thanks to the $1 Power Play option on the ticket’s $1 Power Play multiplier.
The Hayward Kwik Trip has now sold a $100,000 winning ticket twice in 2023. The store sold a $100,000 All or Nothing winning ticket on January 23.
Additionally, two $50,000 winning Powerball tickets were drawn on Wednesday. The winning tickets were purchased at Kwik Trip in Green Bay, located at 3525 Humboldt Road, and at Ballard Motomart in Appleton, located at 2838 N. Ballard Road.
In July, several Wisconsin Powerball wins were the outcome of this recent Powerball jackpot run. Since July 1, 12 large winning tickets from $50,000 to $1,000,000 have been sold at stores all around the state.
