STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Two people were thrown from a motorcycle and hospitalized after a crash involving the bike and a truck near downtown on Friday.
According to the Stevens Point PD, the truck was pulling a trailer southbound on Church Street. The driver had stopped to make a left turn onto Patch Street when the motorcycle approached them from behind.
The driver of the motorcycle tried to maneuver around the truck and trailer but couldn’t. The driver was airlifted from the scene, and the passenger was taken by ambulance.
The driver of the truck was not hurt.
The Wisconsin State Patrol crash reconstruction team was called in to investigate the incident. Other reporting agencies included the Stevens Point Police Department and UWSP Police.
