PARIS (Reuters) – Victor Weinsanto presented a lineup of corseted styles for his namesake label’s fall-winter 2025 catwalk show, kicking off the first day of Paris Fashion Week on Monday with very short skirts, cinched coats and long, slit dresses.
Models marched down the runway in spiky heels, parading fitted bustier tops with laces running down the back, paired with low-slung trousers and belted miniskirts. A silver, leather-like fabric was crafted into a bustier jumpsuit as well as high-waisted trousers and a coat with voluminous sleeves and patches of shearling.
Weinsanto, a former ballet dancer who built on his fashion credentials working for Jean-Paul Gaultier, closed the show with a couple of sheer white dresses that ballooned out, held stiff with corset boning.
“The girl becomes herself an iceberg,” said Weinsanto, describing one of the dresses and noting that he sought to represent the cold.
Paris Fashion Week runs through March 11 and features some of the world’s biggest brands, including Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Saint Laurent.
