WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A familiar face will lead the United Way of Marathon County. Ben Lee will take over the position of CEO this December.
According to a release, Lee has served the organization for the past six years as Director of Community Impact where he oversaw the United Way’s community investments, The Hunger Coalition and The Housing Task Force. Outside of the non-profit Lee serves on The Family Key’s Coalition, The Healthy Aging Coalition and is serving an appointment on the city of Wausau’s Affordable Housing Task Force among other community boards and committees.
Lee will succeed Jeff Sargent, who after 9 years with the United Way of Marathon County will retire. Lee’s first day as CEO will be on December 1, 2025.
