I told my daughters that I was going to Eleve for a BBL and they looked at me and laughed. Of course, they thought I was going in for a Brazilian Butt Lift, but actually I was going for Broadband Light Therapy.
Broadband Light Therapy is a nonsurgical, noninvasive way to improve skin texture and address concerns like acne, wrinkles, and rosacea. The laser targets dark spots and damage on the skin. It brings them forward and makes them more visible for a few days and then they begin to fade away. They recommend repeating the treatment 3 times 6 weeks apart.
Here are my pictures before my BBL

As you can see, I have some wrinkles and some dark spots to address.
To start the process Betsy cleaned my skin, then she put ultrasound gel on my face. She put these goggles on my eyes to protect me from the laser and handed me a hose which blew cold air for me to blow on my face whenever it felt too warm. The laser itself felt like the quick snap of a rubber band on your skin. It was not painful. My skin did feel hot a few times, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say it burned.

Betsy did over 900 zaps on my face! All I could say to that is that I’ve been around a while so there was a lot of sun damage and age spots to catch. I have been pretty good about wearing sunscreen throughout my life, but there was a time I wasn’t too concerned about it.

As you can see, after the treatment you can immediately see the dark spots coming to the surface of the skin. Later that day it looked like coffee grounds on my face. My neck was popping with dark spots too, but a day later it was totally clear already! My skin was not overly red, maybe slightly flushed. My skin did not burn or hurt at all. I’m following after care instructions, using a gentle cleanser, putting on lotion and sunscreen.
It might be up to 2 weeks for me to see full results, but I’m happy with what I’m seeing so far.
