One thing about me, I am ALWAYS trying to stay moving. Movement to me comes in many different ways. I could be at the gym lifting weights, walking on the treadmill or even doing yoga and stretching out my body. I am in no way a professional or a skilled athlete who is training for something, but I still want to make sure my body keeps it’s mobility for as long as it possibly can, and you should want that too!
Working with the experts at Health in Motion can hopefully show you healthy, smart and safe ways to get YOUR body moving too! I stopped by the Health in Motion in Merrill and met with Health in Motion’s Regional Director, Ben Solheim. Ben and I talked about myths when it comes to physical therapy and who should be seeing a physical therapist. NO. Ben mentioned that physical therapists typically won’t tell you to stop your favorite activities. They are there to help you adjust what you are doing to a more comfortable way and help you keep your body healthy, strong and moving long term.
