STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — A Whitewater man is facing dozens of counts for capturing an intimate representation and invading privacy after a month-long investigation into peeping tom acts.
It started on March 9th when police received a report of a man on private property looking through windows. Patrol officers found the suspect, identified as 60-year-old Keith Larson of Whitewater, and arrested him on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
Investigators discovered that Larson has a history of ‘peeping tom” behavior, dating back to 1998. A search of his phone turned up multiple images and videos of people taken through their windows and without their knowledge.
Detectives worked many hours to identify and notify all the victims.
Larson is now facing 22 counts of capturing an intimate representation and 18 counts of invading privacy. Officers also learned that he was on probation from a 2023 incident in Whitewater.
Court records show the charges were filed last Friday, with the judge also authorizing an arrest warrant. Court action against him is pending.
