MILWAUKEE (WSAU) – The Brewers tied the game in the 8th on a William Contreras single, and then walked off the Yankees on a sacrifice fly in the 10th for a 4-3 win.
Yankees starter Cam Schlittler was brilliant, lowering his ERA to 1.35. He stayed in the game after being hit by a line drive off Contreras’ bat. He allowed just two hits in 6 scoreless innings.
The Yankees opened the game with a home run from Paul Goldschmidt. The Brewers got a homer from Jake Bauers.
The Brewers will go for a sweep at 12:35pm on Sunday on WSAU. Logan Henderson will pitch for Milwaukee.
