MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Giannis Antetokounmpo era in Milwaukee has come to an end, as the Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to trade the two-time league MVP to Miami.
According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Milwaukee will receive guard Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jamie Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, three first-round picks (including the 13th overall pick in Tuesday’s NBA Draft), one pick exchange, and one second-round pick. In addition, the Miami Heat will receive Bobby Portis as part of the deal.
Tyler Herro’s future with the Bucks is unclear, as multiple reports suggest he could be traded elsewhere in a separate trade to help Milwaukee maximize its return and accelerate its rebuild.
The Bucks now own the 10th and 13th overall picks in the 2026 NBA Draft, setting the them to select multiple top prospects that include Tennessee forward Nate Ament, Arizona guard Brayden Burries, Michigan forward Yaxel Lendeborg, and Baylor guard Cameron Carr.
