STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) -A Stevens Point man, already convicted of battery to a law enforcement officer, is now facing new charges.
Earlier this year, Scott Van Order, 56, was convicted on three charges after an incident in August of 2024. In that case, he was accused of punching a victim outside a bar, then being confrontational with police — including pulling a female officer’s hair and trying to bite another officer.
In the latest case, he was arrested on charges of violating a no contact order and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Court records show he appeared by video on Monday for a bail/bond hearing and posted $2,000 cash bond.
He’s due to make an initial appearance in court on the news charges on Sept. 9.
