MEDFORD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — One person was found dead after a garage fire in Medford on Saturday.
According to WAOW TV, the fire was reported just after 1 AM. When crews arrived at the scene they found the garage engulfed and the house filled with smoke.
Firefighters found one person dead inside the home after extinguishing the flames. Their identity has not been released, and it’s also unclear if they died as a result of the fire.
The Medford Fire Department and Wisconsin State Fire Marshal’s office are investigating the incident. Medford Police also assisted with the call.
