I’m an Air Force brat. That’s “brat” that rhymes with “that”..not brat like the kind we eat in Wisconsin. And I’m proud of that. Being around Air bases..trust me..they are all on high alert just by watching the news. Our military sees the news..and what you don’t see is that they’ve been planning on and training for conflict. Iran is now on the front burner for news. They are focusing on what to do about it.
With that said..what do YOU do and how can you handle all the news on the front burner. Top story to me is for sure…Iran. But there’s the Australia with their horrible fires, the impeachment hearings, all the way down to kids being shot at for throwing snowballs at cars in Milwaukee..that is a real story. For a news junkie like me..it’s an overload..but I plead with those who don’t watch the news at all..that they’ll be blind-sided by the Iran story..”what’s going on???” they won’t have a clue why we’re in this conflict/war with Iran. I hope they at least check it out..just be aware of the story and all the others on the front burner.
The front burner news will also be messy for quite a while. When we get to the elections this fall..ALL of these stories will still be on the front burner..no doubt. You’ll have a lot on your plate. My guess is that the public will wake up and figure out what matters to them. Protests against going to war against Iran. Raising money or awareness about the fires in Australia. How to stay safe in the inner city. How not to die on a lake while snowmobiling…not being sarcastic on that..that story happened over the weekend. All that and so much more.
I had a friend recently talk about the “balance of news coverage”…I’m so sorry. There will be no balance..no down days for huge news days for a while. The front burner of news is overloaded. You just need to find a way to stay on top of that…
