The Badgers got the benefit of some late calls last night
and eked out a victory over a good Western Kentucky team. Brad Davison earned
free-throws after taking a charge on a screen on an inbounds play with 2
seconds left and a tie game. It’s a call that hardly ever is made. Especially
at that point of the game. Former Badger Zach Showalter tweeted that they have
worked on the play in practice for years but he doesn’t ever remember it
working. The coach for the Hilltoppers claims that Davison was out of bounds
when he set the screen so the foul shouldn’t have been called. He wanted the
refs to look at the replay monitors…they said they couldn’t. Wisconsin, of
course will take it. A struggling team will take any break they can get to try
and right the ship. Greg Gard had to be happy with the 17 points from Brevin
Pritzel in the game. He’s gonna have to score for this team to be successful. Wisconsin
is off now until Dec 23

The Brewers might have been a player for Ian Kinsler but he
ended up signing with the Angels yesterday. Also, relief pitchers have been
signing left and right for big money. David Stearns says he isn’t ready to
spend that kind of cash to bolster the bullpen. Said there are still guys out
there that could help.
I watched the first episode of a new STARZ series called “Counterpart”
and despite a few plot holes it looks good. JK Simmons stars and the story
reminds me a little of “Fringe” a show from a few years ago that I enjoyed immensely.
I don’t think this one will have the humor that Fringe had but we’ll see.
I’m going to gone for a few days to rest and re-charge.

Elections haveconsequences….as the vote on net neutrality
nears (and lets face it, it’s a fait accompli, we are finding out a little more
about FCC head Ajit Pai. He has a massive conflict of interest in this issue.
He has profit sharing from the law firm Jenner & Block…while there he
represented communications firms that will benefit from getting rid of net
neutrality. You are going to hate the results of this decision…I mean really
hate them………………..The dog and pony show with Rod Rosenstein before Congress
yesterday was embarrassing. Republicans would rather trash the FBI and DOJ than
they would the Russians. What has happened to the Republican Party?? As for one
FBI agent sending texts insulting Donald Trump, should we take a look at some
of the agents in the New York field office and what they have had to say about
Hilary Clinton over the years? The fact of the matter is Robert Mueller is
about as much of a stand-up guy as you will find in Washington. He’s a Republican,
appointed by Republicans. It’s not a witch hunt…it’s an investigation into illegalities
in our election process and were those illegalities supported by the campaign
of the sitting President. Mueller will follow the evidence wherever it leads…and
that’s what has Trump worried. Don’t let Trump or his minions or the right-wing
media squawk machine tell you there’s “nothing” to see. Mueller and his
investigators will tell you that if it’s true. And you know in your heart it
isn’t………Are the Franken accusations a set-up hit job? After bottom feeding
toads Charles Johnson and Mike Cernovich were caught out in their lie about
Chuck Schumer yesterday who knows. The two right-wing trolls tried to peddle a
forged document that tried to accuse Chuck Schumer of sexual harassment. The
document was faked and used verbatim language from the complaint filed against
John Conyers. When Schumer said he was going to the police the two backed off.
They would have faced big fines and prison time for trying to file fake
documents in court. This is the world we live in right now. The right will stop
at nothing to advance their toxic agenda…and use bad actors like Johnson and
Cernovich to do it……..this is the 5

massacre. 20 first graders and six adults died. Has anything changed since
