This single mom works two jobs (one full time and one part time) to support her special-needs son with little support from family and no involvement from her son’s father. She works from home and is able to keep her son home with her on the days he isn’t in school. Her employer allows her to multi-task to make this possible. In the meantime, she still manages to find time to attend school events, take her son fishing, and go to fun kid-friendly events. She hasn’t missed one event that is important to him. She bends over backwards to make sure her son has things she didn’t have when she was his age. She also is finding it important to teach him ways to develop a work ethic at an early age. Her son sees her work and likes to “pretend he is working”. This mom is definitely the definition of “super mom”, especially since she plays multiple parental roles while not getting stressed and feeling over-worked while getting creative with balancing her work schedules, doctors appointments, etc.
