46th Annual Mercer Loon Day
Mercer is proud to be known as the Loon Capital of the World, and the Mercer Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the 46th Annual Loon Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 9am–4pm in downtown Mercer, Wisconsin.
This cherished annual Northwoods tradition features an art and craft show, live music, sidewalk sales, a flea market, food and drinks, as well as face painting and kids games throughout the day.
One of the highlights is the famous Loon Calling Contest at 1:30pm in front of the Mercer Town Hall, where contestants of all ages and skill levels step up to emulate their best cry of the loon — a crowd favorite every year.
Join us in downtown Mercer for a full day of family-friendly fun, shopping, and Northwoods tradition.
