Disco Cures Cancer
Each year we turn out the hottest Discoteque straight out of Saturday Night Fever! The event re-creates the excitement of the 1970's Disco era, complete with an extensive lighting system, huge dance floor, outlandish costumes and it all wouldn’t be complete without our live DJ playing the crowds’ favorite disco hits.
Disco Cures Cancer was first held in October of 1998 and has continued every October since. The event has raised over $152,000 assisting patients families and communities affected by the disease.
The proceeds of 95.5 WIFC’s Disco Cures Cancer are dispersed to Aspirus Regional Cancer Center benefiting radiology oncology patients as well as technology upgrades & software for clinical research programs (want to see what the money goes toward?).
The upgrades will help to guide patient care and track diagnostic activities with the purpose of providing the highest quality of care possible.
Last year, $23,561.06 was raised for Aspirus Cancer Care!
The Aspirus Regional Cancer Center provides a full range of the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies anywhere. Just as important, though, is the fact that their multi-specialty team understands how cancer affects people and their loved ones physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. And each member of that team offers compassion and excellence, every day.
