Happy 100th To The Packers

I was in Green Bay this weekend and had a chance to visit Packer practice on Sunday.. My phone is still AWOL (expected back today) so I dont have any pictures (and I know in todays social media world, if you have no pictures it didnt really happen, right?) It was interesting watching the team train. We were closest to the O-line as they worked on their pass blocking techniques. Also interesting to watch the QB's work on their footwork dancing around a long block of wood before firing passes into a net target downfield. The trek from the locker room to the field on the kids bikes was fun to watch as well as the players interacting with the kids.

I had a great time at the WWSP 90fm reunion on Friday afternoon. Wisconsin Valley Conference stats guru Jim Krueger did a shift as well and caught me in action. Yes kids, those are record albums in the background.

My next nostalgic gig is this Friday night as I get to DJ the return of “Disco Cures Cancer”. Its a benefit for the American Cancer Society and also is part of the 50th birthday party for WIFC Radio which debuted in August of 1969. For those of you who have been a part of it in the past, you know what a gas it is.
