Dave Kallaway
Dave started in radio over 30 years ago out in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The son of an Air Force veteran..grew up around planes galore at Ellsworth AFB and caught the radio bug in Junior High and High School. Notes along Dave’s career path include working for NBC legendary anchorman Tom Brokaw who owned a radio station in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Dave re-introduced Twinkies to Rapid City years ago after learning that they had been taken off the shelves EVERYWHERE out there. Early on with WIFC Dave did the promotion “Mow to Lambeau” where he actually rode a riding lawnmower from Wausau to Lambeau Field in Green Bay..100 miles. Dave also created WIFC’s Disco Cures Cancer..that raised funds for 18 years and returns this year for WIFC’s 50th Anniversary. Plus, Dave is part of the WAOW TV show “PackAttack” through the Packer season. Dave voices the fishing and hunting show with Fishing Hall of Famer Joe Bucher which airs nationally.
Dave’s latest venture has taken him into the world of photography. So whether it’s a WIFC event, beautiful landscape, taking pictures at the World Snowmobile Championships, or performances at the Grand theater..chances are good you’ll see Dave Kallaway with a camera in his hand.
Carly Rogers
I’ve officially called Central Wisconsin home for a couple of years now, and I can confidently say I love it here. I’m originally from Central Pennsylvania, where I grew up on a farm surrounded by cows, horses, and plenty of land to roam. My radio journey has been so exciting so far.
I worked country and pop radio in PA and NY, worked behind the scenes with Fox Sports and ESPN as a producer and even interned in Nashville, TN. One of my proudest moments? In the summer of 2022, I was invited to be a public announcer for Little League International at the World Series in my home area of Williamsport, PA, making history as the first female to ever announce a game.
These days, you can catch me on WIFC weekdays from 6am–2pm and Saturdays from 6am-10am, hanging out with Central Wisconsin while we wake up, work, and get through the day together. When I’m not on the air, I’m probably hopping between coffee shops, thrifting, or spending time at home with my cats, Dolly Pawton and Kenny Pawgers (yes, they’re as iconic as their names).
I love quality time with friends and family, and I’m always planning my next adventure. So far, I’ve been lucky enough to visit 13 countries and 40 states, but Central WI has become home. I’m still always open to recommendations on places to explore, food to try, and new local favorites to add to my list.
Thanks for letting me be part of your day!
