MADISON, WI (WSAU) — Health officials say 50% of all Oneida County residents have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and at least two other counties in the Northwoods are not far behind.
Vilas and Forest Counties could see their numbers climb that high later this week as well. Statewide, around 45% of residents have received at least one dose.
Marathon County is slightly behind that pace with just under 40% of residents having one dose, and 33.5% fully vaccinated.
Around 40% of residents in Central Wisconsin have received at least one dose. Thirty-four percent are considered to be fully vaccinated.
The best counties for vaccination percentage are Dane and Door- both are reporting at least 60% of residents as having received at least one dose of vaccine.
