ANTIGO, WI (WSAU) — A “significant increase in illness among students and staff” has forced the Antigo School District to call off classes on Friday.
Officials say janitorial staff will spend Friday conducting ” a comprehensive and thorough deep cleaning of all facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our return.”
That includes using hospital-grade disinfectants on all high-contact and communal spaces.
The move was announced Thursday evening on Facebook. School officials did not indicate what illness was affecting the district.
All after-school programs and extracurricular activities will proceed as scheduled
