STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The City of Stevens Point is looking for residents interested in serving on various Committees and Commissions.
Mayor Mike Wiza says anyone older than 18 with a desire to shape future policy can serve. “We want you to get involved. A desire to help your community is the only prerequisite”, said Mayor
Mike Wiza. “You don’t need any special degree or background, although it helps, just a desire to listen and act on behalf of your community.”
Vacancies currently exist on the Police and Fire Commission, Deer Management Committee, and Sustainability Commission.
Those interested in serving should submit an application and cover letter to Mayor Wiza or the City Clerk. The application can be found here.
