ANIWA, WI (WSAU) — Three people were injured after a home exploded in the Town of Aniwa on Tuesday
The incident was reported at about 6:00 PM. Sheriff’s officers, firefighters, and EMS crews all responded.
Three people were inside the home when it happened: a 35-year-old man, a 55-year-old woman, and a 61-year-old man. All three sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The 35-year-old man was flown to a hospital. The others were taken by ambulance to a different hospital.
Investigators believe a gas leak contributed to the explosion. No further information has been released, including the names of those involved.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Birnamwood Fire Department, Birnamwood and Mattoon Ambulance, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, and Aspirus MedEvac.
